Chip Gaskins

Chip Gaskins is the Sr. Vice President of Business Development for Cortland Advisors in the Mid-Atlantic region. Before joining Cortland, Chip was the managing partner at Buxton Capital, a middle-market private investment firm in Washington DC. Prior to starting Buxton Capital, Mr. Gaskins helped found several wireless infrastructure firms to include Digital Bridge (sold to SpeedConnect), HiBeam, and Mainstreet Broadband by overseeing the M&A for these firms. Prior to that, Chip managed the Major Partnership Program at AOL where he negotiated large access deals with AT&T, Bellsouth, Charter Communications and Clearwire. He also is a lecturer at American University and Georgetown University’s Entrepreneurship Center.
Earlier in his career, Chip worked for Intel’s Capital investments division advising on equity investments and technology and infrastructure firms.
He has a Master’s degree in Engineering from North Carolina State University and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
